The Central Valley Book Bank (CVBB) is a project of United Way of Fresno County. The vision of the CVBB is that every child in the Central Valley will have access to an adequate supply of age appropriate books to help them become proficient readers. As a program of the United Way of Fresno County, CVBB provides free and low cost children’s books to schools and nonprofit organizations servicing low income and disadvantaged populations. Our mission is to act as a resource for programs dedicated to developing a desire to read and improving reading skills while enhancing classroom and home libraries.
Book Deposits (How You Can Help)
There are a number of ways to provide assistance, including:

Donate books (pre-k through 8th grade)

Conduct a book drive

Volunteer to help sort, repair and distribute books

Donate money and supplies
Book Withdrawals (Applying For Books)
Books are available for the following:
- Schools
- Early Childhood Education Programs
- After-School Reading Programs
- Family Services Programs
- Parent Programs
- Youth Services Programs
The CVBB accepts new and gently used books.
